(1988) The opening sequence mirrors the scene halfway in Scarface when Tony Montana takes revenge for his attempted assassination by threatening to kill Frank Lopez. Frank begs for Tony not to kill him, similar to James Tien begging Yuen Wah not to kill him in this film.
The Guns of Scarface: Say ‘Hello’ to my little friends. 05/18/11 6:00 PM. Say hello to my little friend. The first automatic weapon we meet in the film is a MAC-10, complete with.
Both gunmen say they won't kill them and have someone else shoot them down. At the end of both scenes, the victim's henchman is left standing shocked and unemployed. The killer in both films then offers the 'leftover' man a job. The scene is almost identical to the scene in Scarface and is an obvious reference. (2002) (Video Game) Shares a similar plot: an ex-convict leaves a place he doesn't want to be (Cuba/prison) and moves to Miami (which Vice City is based on), wears flowery shirts, and begins to take over the city killing his former boss in the process (Lopez/Diaz), with a chaotic ending battle (which one survives, the other doesn't). The office of the Vercetti Estate mansion is very similar to Montana's office; including the desk, decor and the bank of security monitors - which if the player stands in front of the monitors and looks at them through the sniper rifle scope, one can see that some of the images displayed is that of the main room in Montana's mansion, featuring the sweeping staircase, the 'The World Is Yours' statue, and the small pool. The apartment where the chainsaw scene took place is featured (as Apartment 3c), along with the area known as Little Havana that was featured at the beginning of the film, and two nightclubs - The Malibu, and the Pole Position Club - are clones of two nightclubs in the film - The Babylon, and the Little Havana Club.
In the upstairs office of the Malibu Club, on the left wall there is a large mural of palm trees tinted red by the setting sun, which is the same mural that adorns the office wall of Lopez Motors. And the chainsaw is featured as a weapon, and is particularly highlighted in the cutscene for 'Treacherous Swine' when Cortez gives one to Vercetti to kill an associate.

The machine gun used by Al Pacino in the cult movie will go under the hammer in Los Angeles this month It was famously referred to as 'my little friend' in the cult film Scarface. Now the machine gun used by Al Pacino in the 1983 movie is set to go under the hammer. The gun is expected to fetch around $30,000 when it is auctioned off later this month. The Hollywood actor, who played drug lord Tony Montana in the gangster movie, used a real machine gun in the film that dramatises the violent expats from Cuba and Puerto Rico who run the underworld. In the movie, Montana becomes a powerful Florida drug kingpin, dealing in cocaine, murdering rival gangsters and making enemies along the way.
At the climax, the actor warned a group of rivals with the famous line 'say hello to my little friend' before gunning them down. At the time the weapon was a live firing fully automatic machine gun with a custom-made M203 grenade launcher prop attached to it. It was also used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 film Predator. But following the death of actor Brandon Lee, who was accidentally shot by a live round fired from a pistol on a film set in 1993, the US banned automatic weapons in filming. As a result Pacino's weapon was retired with the firing pin removed and sold off to a private collector.
The gun is expected to sell for $30,000 when it goes under the hammer at Julien's Auctions on November 20. Share Darren Julien, from the auction house, said: 'Pacino can be seen firing the weapon throughout the climactic ending of the film where Tony tries to defend his mansion against a full-scale assault by Bolivian drug kingpin Alejandro Sosa's men. 'He introduces the gun to his enemies with the now iconic line 'say hello to my little friend'. 'After firing the launcher through the front door of his study into several of his attackers, Tony continues to fire both the launcher and his attached automatic weapon at Sosa's men as they swarm his house, until he is finally shot in the back and killed by The Skull, Sosa's main hit man. 'The M203 grenade launcher was custom made for use on the film, and the firing pin has been removed to prevent the use of live rounds.
'This gun is an amazing piece of pop culture history and very few items are available from Scarface.' It comes as the 'El Fureidis' estate that was used as the setting for the film was sold this week for $12.26million. Other items that will appear at the auction in Los Angeles include Orson Wells 'Citizen Kane' complete suit, Will Farrell's suit from 'Anchorman' and John Belushi's screen worn sunglasses from 'The Blues Brothers'.
